Mets reliever Duaner Sanchez could be back with the team this week.

Dodgers infielder Nomar Garciaparra played third base in a rehab assignment on Saturday, and he could be back with the Dodgers later this week.

Rays pitcher Matt Garza played catch from 100 feet on Saturday. He could be back next month.

Rays pitcher Chad Orvella was transferred to the 60-day disabled list with a shoulder injury.

Tigers pitcher Armando Galarraga will take the rotation spot of the injured Dontrelle Willis until Willis returns.

Matt Albers will make a spot start for the Orioles on Monday.

The Nationals optioned catcher Jesus Flores to AAA-Columbus now that Johnny Estrada is able to play.

Brewers pitcher Yovani Gallardo was sent back down to AAA-Nashville for more rehab.

Reds catcher David Ross, who is currently on the DL, will miss a few games with the flu. He could return Tuesday.
